Christian counseling is grounded in the Bible and most often seeks to help a person embrace the pain of his or her experience through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Many of the processes will be similar to those employed in secular counseling; but the motivation will be different. In secular counseling, the problem and\/or the client often remain the focus. With Christian counseling, God remains the focus; one important goal is helping the person grow a rich and accurate view of God\u2019s will for him\/her as an individual. Christian Counseling combines modern methods of counseling with Scriptural principles, using Biblical Truths as the reference point for integration.<\/span><\/p>\n

We understand that people typically enter counseling because they are hurt, frustrated, or feeling overwhelmed by a problem. Most of these circumstances are based in wounded relationships between husbands and wives and parents and children. And, of course, one or more persons in these relationships may be experiencing intrapersonal difficulties; including mood disorders like depression and anxiety, addictions, or situational stressors like work or school. All these difficulties can weaken the body and the mind. The individual can only be free by the peace of God. Paul writes, <\/span>\u201cBe anxious for nothing, but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God. And the peace of God which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n
